Queen Noor Aviation College Signs Strategic Cybersecurity Partnership with Green Circle

Amman, Jordan — Queen Noor Civil Aviation College (QNAC) has signed a Memorandum of Cooperation with Green Circle, a leading cybersecurity company, in a strategic move aimed at strengthening institutional partnerships and building national capabilities through the establishment of a specialized center for advanced cybersecurity (Hyper Security) in the aviation sector.

The agreement was signed yesterday, Tuesday, by Dr. Farhan Al-Mashaqbeh, Director General of Queen Noor Aviation College, and Eng. Mohammad Al-Khudari, CEO of Green Circle, in the presence of a group of specialists and industry experts.

This collaboration reflects a shared vision to develop integrated cybersecurity solutions that protect critical aviation systems and data from rapidly evolving cyber threats—particularly those emerging as a result of the artificial intelligence revolution.

A Specialized Cybersecurity Center for Aviation

Under the agreement, a dedicated center will be established to design and deliver aviation-focused cybersecurity programs, supported by highly qualified academic and technical staff. The center aims to equip aviation students with the latest cybersecurity tools, technologies, and methodologies required to protect systems and data from modern cyberattacks, in alignment with local and regional market needs.

Dr. Al-Mashaqbeh stated that the agreement represents a qualitative leap in the college’s academic and applied trajectory. He confirmed that QNAC has obtained its general accreditation and will begin offering bachelor’s degree programs starting in September, emphasizing that these programs will be technical and application-oriented, rather than purely academic, to meet real labor market demands in the aviation sector.

He added that the college is committed to preparing graduates to become future leaders in aviation, tourism, and related industries. The newly established center is considered one of the most prominent initiatives offered to Jordanian and Arab students, providing advanced cybersecurity training and expertise that significantly enhance employability across multiple sectors.

Dr. Al-Mashaqbeh also noted that the college has graduated approximately 13,000 alumni, including hundreds of licensed pilots, and currently offers 11 diploma programs serving the civil aviation sector in Jordan and the wider region.

Advancing Aviation Cybersecurity in the Region

For his part, Eng. Ali Al-Assaf, Cybersecurity Expert and Engineer at Green Circle, stated that the center is the first of its kind to focus specifically on cybersecurity for the aviation sector. He emphasized that it will play a key role in raising sector maturity levels and strengthening the adoption of advanced technologies.

Eng. Al-Assaf explained that establishing the center at Queen Noor Aviation College—recognized as a leading aviation institution in Jordan and the region—will provide students with comprehensive, high-quality knowledge of cybersecurity requirements, future technologies, and associated risks. This, he noted, will significantly enhance graduates’ competitiveness in a labor market experiencing strong demand for specialized cybersecurity expertise.

He further added that the center will conduct advanced research and testing to better understand the impact of digital transformation in aviation, while developing Arabic-supported research and knowledge products, reinforcing Jordan’s regional leadership in aviation cybersecurity, research, and development.

A Model for Academia–Industry Collaboration

This agreement stands as a successful model of integration between the academic and private sectors, representing an advanced step toward aligning educational outcomes with labor market requirements. It also strengthens Jordan’s position as a regional hub for aviation sciences and cybersecurity, generating positive impact for new students enrolling in a specialization considered the first of its kind in the Middle East, as well as for the broader technical and economic sectors.
